BURGLARIES — Denice Young on Monday reported a break-in at Crow Wing Recycling, 714 Industrial Park Road. 

Christopher Engel, 1000 block of M Street, Friday reported a burglary.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Brandi Peek, 700 block of Brian Lane, Sunday reported her vehicle struck while it was parked. 

Patrick Krueger, 100 block of Carol Lane, Saturday reported his house had been egged. 

It was reported Saturday that the legs had been broken off a flower pot at The Olde Open Window, 604 Laurel St. 

It was reported Friday that several windows were broken out at a residence on the 300 block of Southwest Fourth Street. 

THEFTS — Daniel Bellos, 2000 block of Addison Avenue, Sunday reported the theft of a trailer. The trailer was later recovered but the property inside was missing. 

A $54.52 gas drive-off was reported Saturday from the Triangle Store, 901 Oak St. 

James Stanton, 600 block of South 10th Street, Friday reported a theft from his vehicle. 

WELFARE CHECK — At 2:06 a.m. Saturday officers were asked to conduct a welfare check on a male sleeping in the trees behind Brainerd Lakes Chamber offices at Washington and South Sixth streets. A 34-year-old man was placed at Pine Manor Detox. 

ARRESTS — At 8:22 p.m. Friday officers responded to a report of a domestic assault on the 900 block of Southeast 12 Street. Officers arrested a 20-year-old man for felony domestic assault by strangulation, two counts of felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and gross misdemeanor domestic assault.

Arrested a 20-year-old man after he fled the scene of a crash at 10:13 a.m. Friday on the 10000 block of Oakridge Road. The man was arrested for two counts of gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation and two counts of gross misdemeanor DWI. A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene by Crow Wing County Sheriff’s deputies for felony probation violation. 

Conducted a traffic stop at 12:01 a.m. Friday on the 600 block of Front Street and cited the driver for not having a Minnesota driver’ license and arrested the passenger, a 22-year-old man, for felony violation of conditions of release, felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 

CRASH — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 11:07 a.m. Friday at Laurel and South Sixth streets. 

Baxter police

CRASHES — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, hit-and-run collision at 2:09 p.m. Sunday on the 10000 block of Dellwood Drive. 

No injuries were reported in a crash at 10:54 a.m. Saturday at Highway 371 and Highland Scenic Road. 

No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run collision at 2 p.m. on the 10000 block of Dellwood Drive. 

THEFTS — A $42.39 gas drive-off was reported Sunday from SuperAmerica, 14398 Dellwood Dr. 

Lana Brandt, 7000 block of Clearwater Road, Friday reported a theft. The property was later recovered and she didn’t want to pursue criminal charges.

It was reported Friday that a laptop computer was purchased with a stolen check at Computer One Plus, 14643 Edgewood Dr. 

Randall Miltimore on Friday reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle on the 7000 block of Lake Forest Road. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Timothy Aadland, 10000 block of Kenwood Drive, Saturday reported criminal damage to property.

THEFTS — A gas drive-off was reported Friday at Holiday Station, 27390 Highway 18 in Garrison. 

Received a report Saturday of a suspect at a foreclosed residence on the 20000 block of Crow Wing County Road 4 ripping out cabinets and counters. 

Corinne Roberts, 10000 block of North Long Lake Road, Sunday reported a theft.

A gas drive-off was reported Sunday at Holiday Station, 27390 Highway 18 in Garrison. 

BURGLARIES — Marvin Bush on Saturday reported a burglary on the 20000 block of Crow Wing County Road 2.

Paula Demars on Sunday reported her mother’s residence on Crow Wing County Road 138 had been burglarized. 

It was reported Sunday an abandoned mobile home on the 3000 block of Jack Pine Road had been broken into.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Joshua Skillings Saturday reported someone shot his vehicle with paint balls at Highway 371 and Pine Beach Road. 

It was reported Sunday a vehicle struck the canopy at Fort Ripley Store, 617 Front St. in Fort Ripley.

ARREST — At 10:47 p.m. Sunday deputies responded to a report of an assault on the 4000 block of Crow Wing County Road 45 and arrested a 27-year-old man for gross misdemeanor purchasing liquor for someone under 21 and misdemeanor domestic assault.

THEFTS — A theft was reported Aug. 1 on the 10000 block of 69th Avenue Northeast in Cass Lake.

INVESTIGATIONS — At 1:40 p.m. on Aug. 3 received a report of drugs on the 6000 block of 18th Avenue Northwest in Walker. 

Received a report of weapons being fired at 2:24 a.m. on Aug. 7 on the 300 block of Spruce Avenue. 

FIRES — A fire was reported at 5:31 a.m. Aug. 5 on the 6000 block of 160th Street Northwest.

A fire was reported at 4:38 p.m. on Aug. 6 on the 8000 block of 120th Street. 

ASSAULTS — An assault was reported at 8:36 p.m. on Aug. 5 on the 100 block of Fifth Street. 

An Assault was reported Aug. 5 on the 8000 block of Midway Drive. 

An assault was reported at 12:51 p.m. on Aug. 6 on Old Housing Drive in Cass Lake. 

Morrison sheriff

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Daniel Koehn, 1000 block of 100th Avenue near Holdingford, Sunday reported someone broke out some windows on his vehicle and tore up his garden. He said he knows who he suspect is. 

Loren Morey, 30000 block of 39th Avenue near Motley, Sunday reported damage to posts at the end of his driveway.

THEFTS — Edward Shequen, 1000 block of East River Road, Sunday reported a theft.

Josephine Deneen, 9000 block of 350th Avenue near Pierz, Saturday reported theft of keys from her residence. 

Gina Keehr, Little Falls, on Friday reported the theft of tools from her vehicle.

Michelle Carll, 9000 block of Cable Road, Friday reported her son’s bicycle stolen. 

DISPUTE — At 11:50 p.m. on Friday the sheriff’s department received a 911 call from a man in Motley who wanted to report he did not hit his girlfriend. Deputies went to the residence and both the man and his girlfriend were intoxicated. After speaking with both deputies learned the girlfriend had fallen and hit her lip when she got up to go to the restroom. The man is on probation and deputies confiscated their liquor and informed him his probation officer would be made aware of the report. 

At 8:18 p.m. a man on the 10000 block of 95th Street near Little Falls called to report his house was sprayed by a crop duster and he wanted something done about it. A deputy informed the man that his house was surrounded by corn, an attempt was made to contact the crop dusting service and the deputy would have to wait to talk with someone at the service before proceeding. The deputy reported the man was upset and rude on the phone. The service called back and informed the deputy that no pesticides were used in the spraying, only an element to help with plant health. 

HARASSMENT — On Friday received a report from an employee at Old Mill Bar, 30990 Azure Road in Cushing, who found a threatening note. The employee called back to cancel deputies as the note was old involving another employee and was some kind of joke.

Staples police

FIRE — Assisted the Staples Fire Department at 9:11 p.m. Sunday with a power line on fire on the 700 block of Fifth Street Northeast.

CRASH — One person was injured after a vehicle struck a tree at 4:04 a.m. Friday on the 1000 block of Fourth Street Northeast.

No injuries were reported after a motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle at 6 p.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of Second Avenue Northeast.
