Morrison sheriff

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Jennifer Baum, 400 block of Degraff Avenue, Monday reported damage to property. 

It was reported Monday that a garbage can and several mailboxes on the 3000 block of 320th Street in Cushing had been damaged.

Cassie Baum,10000 block of Jewel Road near Little Falls, Monday reported the theft of a silver-plated halter shipment and possibly other mail from her mailbox. 

Sara Hennen on Monday reported the theft of three beach towels, three pairs of shoes and three pairs of shorts at the Pierz Fish Lake public access, 13654 Lake Road.

ARREST — On Aug. 3 officers responded to a report that a man kicked the front door of a business on Fourth Street, causing the glass to break. At 12:10 a.m. on Aug. 4, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle at the Ironton pump house on Hematite Street. The officer initiated a routine traffic stop and a passenger immediately got out of the vehicle and came toward the officer. The officer recognized the passenger, a 42-year-old Ironton man, as the suspect in the property damage on Fourth Street. The officer also was advised to be cautious when coming into contact with the man. The man continued to approach the officer, failed to comply with verbal commands so the officer utilized a Taser on the man. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct with possible property damage charges pending. 

On Sunday officers were dispatched to a residence on Second Street Northeast on a domestic disturbance call. Officers made contact with two individuals who had been involved in a physical altercation. A 46-year-old Crosby man was arrested for felony domestic assault by strangulation and a 47-year-old woman was arrested for misdemeanor fifth-degree domestic assault. Other charges of possession of drug paraphernalia are pending on both individuals.

ANIMAL COMPLAINTS — On Aug. 1 officers received a report of numerous cats in the Poplar Street Southwest area, defecating and urinating in neighbors’ garages and other property. The cats’ owner was located and given a written warning for too many cats, unlicensed cats, unlicensed dogs and unrestrained animals. The owner has 10 days to comply.

BURGLARY — Seth Owens, 300 block of North Eighth Street, Tuesday reported his house broken into. 

THEFTS — Logan Lockwood, 1000 block of Rosewood Street, Monday reported his bike stolen. 

Jodi Niles and Joseph Bennett on Monday reported the theft of prescription medications from unlocked vehicles on the 700 block of Laurel Street.

BURGLARY — Gregory Kalogerson, 6000 block of Holiday Harbor Drive in Garrison, Monday reported a burglary.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Daniel Benson, 10000 block of Scott Lake Road, Monday reported a hole in the side of his residence, possibly from a gun shot. 

THEFTS — Wade Tomberlin, 8000 block of Cook Road, Monday reported the theft of car batteries and other items.

Sandra Langley, 5000 block of Birchdale Road, Monday reported the theft of items from a vehicle.
