Shooting victim found in burning house in Little Falls

LITTLE FALLS — Police found a man with gunshot wounds inside a burning house after responding to a report of gunshots at 3:52 a.m. Monday on the 600 block of Lindbergh Drive Northwest.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released Monday morning, was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Little Falls Police Chief Greg Schirmers in a news release said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident and police didn’t believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. 

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene. The incident has been referred to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for investigation.
