ARRESTS — At 12:13 p.m. Friday deputies responded to a residence in the 4000 block of White Gables Trail after the resident reported a neighbor assaulted her by grabbing at her through the door. A 55-year-old woman was arrested for felony violation of conditions of release a misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
In separate incidents, arrested a 27-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man for felony probation violations at the Crow Wing County Judicial Center, 213 Laurel St.
BURGLARIES — Gerald Graf, 20000 block of Crow Wing County Road 3, Friday reported a burglary.
Benjamin Allen, 30000 block of Highway 6, Sunday reported a burglary.
Robert McKenna, 10000 block of Wicklund Road, Monday reported a burglary.
THEFTS — Angela Blakemore, 6000 block of Estate Circle Drive, Friday reported the theft of a camera and video game system.
Richard Buersken, 6000 block of 50th Avenue, Sunday reported the theft of a wood splitter.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Stan Plonske, 9000 block of Lakeside Road, Saturday reported some signs stolen and a portable toilet tipped over.
John Taray, 9000 block of Crow Wing County Road 1, Saturday reported damage to his mailbox.
Cynthia Corwin on Sunday reported damaged to a vehicle being stored on the 7000 block of Barrows Avenue.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY — On Saturday an officer responded to a business on Oak Street after receiving a report of an intoxicated man sleeping in front of the store. An officer spoke with the man, who stated he walked to town to get some bait but the store was not open yet so he decided to take a little pre-bait nap until it opened. The officer learned the bait store had been open and bait available the entire time but the man was a bit confused. The man was transported to the residence of a friend where he could get a good nap. “No fishin’ today,” the police report concluded.
ARREST — Arrested a 65-year-old Crosby man for second-degree criminal sexual assault Saturday at a residence on Highway 6.
DRIVING COMPLAINT — On Sunday an officer was dispatched to the area of the four-way stop at Highway 210 and Highway 6 on a report of a vehicle that was possibly dragging some sort of carcass behind it. Officers were advised the vehicle was heading westbound on Highway 210 toward Brainerd. A Crow Wing County Sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle as it came into Brainerd and noted it was in fact dragging a deer carcass. The driver stated they hit a deer back on Cass County Road 11 but didn't realize it was still under the car “Maybe they didn’t have adequate tie downs and wanted to save money on skinning it,” the police report concluded.
ARREST — At 3:04 p.m. Sunday officers responded to the 100 block of Sunrise Drive Northeast for a report of an intruder sleeping on a couch. Officers arrested a 22-year-old woman for probation violation.
THEFTS — Robert Jasmer on Sept. 28 reported his son’s bike stolen from behind Sacred Heart Area School, 324 Fourth St. N.E.
It was reported Sept. 26 that an unknown quantity of brass fittings were stolen from Ferrell Gas, 800 Wright Ave. N.E.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — It was reported Sept. 27 that a window was broken out of a vehicle parked on the 400 block of Fifth Street Northeast.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Marion Nohner, Todd County Road 2, on Sunday reported damage to her mailbox.
SCAM — At 2:30 p.m. Sunday a self-employed business owner on 171st Avenue reported receiving a scam letter through the mail stating the business owed $650 to an advertising company in Canada called Platinum C Solutions. The business owner told the sheriff’s department that he had never been in contact with any advertising agency for his company.
THEFTS — Jeremy Johnson, 10000 block of Wonderland Park Road, Tuesday reported the theft of a snowmobile.
Received a report Monday that a suspect stole aluminum cans from St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 1108 Willow St. Officers cited the suspect for theft and failure to apply for a Minnesota driver’s license.
BURGLARY — Edward Gephart, 300 block of J Street, Monday reported someone entered his garage and stole a trolling motor.
INFORMATION — Received a call from a mother who reported her son was afraid to go to school due to bullying. The school said it will resolve the problem and if they need assistance will contact law enforcement.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Carl Faust of the Brainerd History Group on Monday reported vandalism to a marker on the bike path at Kiwanis Park, 1101 E. River Road.
THEFT — A gas drive-off of $39.58 was reported Monday on Highway 10 in Royalton.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Gregory Smith, Swanville, Monday reported damage to his property.
