Man suspected in store groping arrested

ANOKA, Minn. (AP) — Police have arrested a Columbia Heights man suspected of groping a young girl at a Fridley Walmart.

Minnesota Public Radio News (http://bit.ly/vHMg12) reports the man was arrested Friday and was being booked into the Anoka County Jail. He has not been charged.

The alleged assault was captured on Walmart's security cameras inside the store last Monday.

Authorities say the girl, who is under the age of 13, was with her mother and an older sibling when she was groped by a stranger. The girl immediately told her mother, and store employees called police.

The Anoka County sheriff's office says the suspect has a criminal history that includes indecent exposure and similar groping incidents involving women.
