Breezy Point man, woman arrested for sale of meth
A Breezy Point man and woman were arrested Friday for first-degree sale of methamphetamines, resulting in law enforcement authorities confiscating 12 ounces of the drug with a street value of $35,000 to $40,000, Sgt. Joe Meyer of the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, said Saturday.
Meyer said the man, age 24, also was arrested for first-degree possession with the intent to sell methamphetamines.
Meyer said it has been an ongoing investigation with the man, as authorities beleived he had been selling methamphetamines in the lakes arear for the past six months. Meyer said the man was living in Brainerd prior to about a week ago and then moved to Breezy Point with the woman, who was his girlfriend. Meyer said the Lakes Area Drug Investigation Division received information that the man was on his way to the lakes area with a possible load of methamphetamines. Meyer said they got a search warrant and stopped the man during a traffic stop.
Meyer said authorities seized 12 ounces of methamphetamines and $4,500 in cash.
The Baxter, Breezy Point and Brainerd police departments and the Minnesota Bureau or Criminal Apprenesion asssited LADID in the investigation.
