Brainerd police

OTHER — A report at 5:16 a.m. Thursday that a subject came up to the door on the 1000 block of Laurel Street asking for help because she was cold.

ARRESTS — A 23-year-old man was arrested at 1:25 a.m. Thursday on the 400 block of South Sixth Street for fleeing on foot, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday on Northwest Fifth Street and James Street after a report of a hit and run. The man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and two counts of hit and run, as he struck another vehicle shortly after the first incident.

GUNS — A report at 7:42 p.m. Wednesday of three juvenile males with guns who were under the Mississippi River bridge on Laurel Street. It was reported the juveniles had BB guns and they’re messing around.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday of a person in a black snowmobile suit with a strip, running behind houses on the 500 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast, Little Falls. The juvenile male advised officers that he was running in the alley preparing for a upcoming physical fitness test at school.

ASSIST — A report at 2:38 a.m. Wednesday of a male on the ground in a yard in Pierz, screaming and saying someone may have been shot, and his wife was in danger. The man was lying on the ground shivering and he had no injuries. When officer asked him what was going on, he said across the street at his house there was a group of outlaws that attacked him and his wife. He said that they were in the house. Officers checked the house and everything looked fine. Officers talked to the man’s wife who said that he was trying to come down from drinking, as he drank a bottle of Vodka a day. The last few days he has had very little alcohol, and the wife said he was hallucinating.

THEFT — Pamela Scherping, Randall, Monday reported that someone siphoned gas from her vehicle.

Craig Melby, Pierz, Saturday reported the theft of an all-terrain vehicle.

FIRE — A report at 7:22 a.m. Sunday of a small fire in a pasture in Pierz.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Cynthia Molitor, Little Falls, April 6 reported that her mailbox and several other mailboxes were damaged.

BURGLARY — A report at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday that someone got into the garage and took some items on the 9000 block of Ravenswood Road.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday of a suspicious person on the 17000 block of Haven Road. Two subjects who arrived at the residence were family, notifying the complainant of a death in the family. The complainant wanted the two subjects to leave. They did.

INTOXICATED — A report at 8:08 p.m. Wednesday on the 600 block of First Street Southeast of an intoxicated subject who had sustained an injury to his face resulting in bleeding from the nose. The subject claimed to have been assaulted. Officers spoke with other subjects at the scene and were told that the subject had started the physical confrontation that resulted in his injury. The injury appeared to be superficial.

THEFT — A report Monday of a theft of a GPS unit from the complainant’s vehicle on the 700 block Sixth Avenue Northwest.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — A report Monday that someone was in the garage at Rosestone Apartment, 1001 Fifth Ave. N.E., slashing tires. It was determined that the tires were not slashed, but the air was let out of them.
