Court dates set in assault and stabbing cases
Kassulker’s next court hearing set for Monday
An omnibus hearing set Monday for a 25-year-old Pillager man charged in Cass County District Court with first- and third-degree felony assault was reset to June 1.
William R. Kassulker is accused of assaulting a 22-year-old Pine River man on March 18 in the parking lot of Zorbaz on Gull in Lake Shore.
According to the criminal complaint filed against Kassulker, Kassulker knocked or pushed the victim to the ground. The victim then got up and swung at Kassulker but missed him completely. Kassulker then punched him in the face with sufficient force to knock him to the ground with one blow. The victim went down and hit his head on the concrete.
Court date set in stabbing case
The 39-year-old St. Paul man accused of stabbing another man in a vehicle on Jan. 27, 2011, in Nisswa, will next appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 27.
Jon Martin Johnson, charged with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in Crow Wing County District Court, is accused of stabbing Timothy Porter three times while the two were in a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 371 and Crow Wing County Road 13 in Nisswa.
