Cass Lake man injured after being shot twice in back


CASS LAKE — A 19-year-old Cass Lake man was injured Thursday after being shot twice in the back and one arrest has been made and more arrests are expected, said Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch.

Burch said the victim, Earl Jordan Norton III, who was shot with a small caliber handgun, was transported to North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji for non-life threatening injuries. The hospital reported that Norton was discharged, but could not say if he was taken to another hospital.
