STORM — An officer on Sunday noticed a truck at the Pennington Pit access, a boat in Pennington Mine Lake and a male in the boat fishing during a heavy rain and lightning storm. Officer waved the male in and suggested he call it quits so he didn’t need to be rescued later. The male stated he did not know it was illegal to fish in the rain. “Really? Let’s see, graphite fishing rod, aluminum boat and add lightning … Hmm.”
