Crow Wing sheriff

FRAUD — Received a report Thursday from a Crosby resident about a phone scam as she had a call from someone claiming to be her grandson in a Mexican prison.

DAMAGE — Received a report Thursday from a man who said the person living in his house took his stuff while he was in prison and wrecked his house. He was advised it was a civil problem.

SUSPICIOUS — A man wearing a trench coat was reportedly waiving at cars Thursday at Highway 18 and County Road 25.

DRUG POSSESSION — A call at 2 a.m. Thursday about a suspicious vehicle at Whipple Beach led to a juvenile male being issued a warning for curfew violation and citation for drug possession. The parent was notified.
