Investigation continues in death of Garrison man

CROSBY — The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the death of the 43-year-old Garrison man who was found Sept. 6 in a car off Crow Wing County Road 31, northeast of Crosby.

Garry Allen Wanless Jr., was found dead in a red Chevy Monte Carlo in a wooded area in Deerwood Township. The Chevy was located just off Crow Wing County Road 31, north of Highway 210, a few miles past Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.

A citizen reported the car in the woods to Crosby Police Department around 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6. Crosby police responded and found the car and the body and contacted the sheriff’s office.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the case with the sheriff’s office.
