Brainerd police

ANIMAL — A female flagged down an officer at 5:41 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of North Sixth Street reporting that there was a skunk walking around in the area with a plastic cup on its head. A short time later, a male citizen was able to remove the plastic cup from the Skunk’s head using a garden rake. It was reported that the skunk and the male were not injured.

GARBAGE? — A report that a new microwave in a box was in the dumpster of a business on Third Avenue Southwest. Officer recovered item and upon examination, noted that an old microwave had been disposed of in a new box.

THEFT — Officers Sunday received a report of a theft that occurred from a residence on Oak Street Southwest of “unusual details were received” and a report was generated. Officers monitoring situation.

Pequot Lakes police

PROPERTY DAMAGE — A report at 8:05 a.m. Monday of vehicle hitting a power pole on Woodman Street and Highway 371, due to ice on the roadway. It was reported that the pole broke at its base and power crews were called to fix it.
