POLICE BLOTTER - Dec. 11
ARRESTS — A 36-year-old man was arrested at 1:22 a.m. Sunday on Beaver Dam Road and Wise Road on third-degree driving while intoxicated (DWI), crossing over the center line, no proof of insurance and a warrant for disorderly conduct.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at 8:18 p.m. Friday on the 300 block of South Eighth Street for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct.
BURGLARY — A report of a burglary in progress at 3:59 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Bluff Avenue. It was reported that an unknown man walked into her residence. She confronted him and he left. Officers located the man and determined that he mistakenly went to the wrong house.
ARREST — A 27-year-old man was arrested at 7:23 p.m. Friday for second-degree DWI on Forestview Drive after a report of a domestic. The suspect left the residence in a vehicle prior to officers arrival.
ANIMAL — A report at 8:12 p.m. Saturday of a deer running in the area of Firewood Drive with an arrow stuck in it. Officers were unable to locate deer.

ARRESTS — A 24-year-old woman was arrested at 12:47 a.m. Friday for giving false name to peace officer and a warrant.
FIRE — A report at 5:45 p.m. Friday of a house with a lot of smoke in the area in Garrison.
MEDICAL — A report at 9:10 a.m. Sunday requesting an ambulance for a male with two amputated phalanges. Crosby Ambulance and Garrison responders responded.
ARREST — A 24-year-old man was arrested at 5:04 a.m. Friday on the 400 block of Eighth Street Northeast after a report of a disturbance involving numerous people and a man with a gun. Victims and witnesses reported that the confrontation, the suspect struck one victim in the face with a handgun and threatened another victim with it.
SUSPICIOUS — A report at 7:20 p.m. Dec. 4 of Staples Motley High School student who saw a suspicious white van in the parking lot of the high school on Monday Dec. 3. The parent reported that her daughter saw the van circling the school and driving through and stopping in the parking lot. The driver of the van was described as a white male in his mid 30s to 40s, with a mustache and beard or goatee. The man was wearing a light colored sweatshirt and was spitting into a cup The van was described as a white mini van with dark windows.
