Brainerd police

ARREST — A 23-year-old man was arrested at 5:51 p.m. Friday on the 1300 block of Norwood Street for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Crow Wing sheriff

ARRESTS — A 25-year-old woman was arrested at 1:12 a.m. Saturday in Brainerd for giving a false name to a peace officer and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop.

INFORMATION — A report at 9:38 a.m. Friday of a four-wheeler breaking through the ice on the big bay of North Long Lake. Ropes were put on to secure it.

Staples police

ARREST — A man was arrested after a report at 4:46 p.m. Dec. 11 of an intoxicated man who had come to another party with a butcher knife on the 200 block of Dakota Avenue Southeast. The man was located at a residence near where the incident occurred and he was arrested for second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, domestic assault and terroristic threats. The man was transported to the Todd County Detention Center.
