Morrison sheriff

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 8:11 p.m. Tuesday of two vehicles driving near the Byron Smith residence, located off of Elm Avenue. (Smith is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the Thanksgiving Day shooting deaths of Nicholas Brady and Haile Kifer.) The complainant advised that the vehicles left in a hurry and they were driving south on Riverwood and heading towards the bowling alley. The officer met the two vehicles in question and a female driver of one of the vehicles was suspended and she was issued a citation for driving after suspension and released to her boyfriend. Both parties advised that they were at a residence on Elm street working on a vehicle. They denied trespassing on Smith’s property.

FIRE — A report at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday of a house fire. It was reported that the homeowner came out of the house in Pierz with a pot that had been on the stove. No other damage, the house full of smoke. Pierz Fire was on scene.

THEFT — A report at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday that two signs were stolen on 235th Street in Pierz. One sign was a cattle crossing sign and the other was a stop sign.

A report at 9:52 a.m. Sunday of a theft of a laptop computer on the 19000 block of 105th Avenue, Little Falls.

A report Jan. 11 that the complainant’s mailbox on the 20000 block of 233rd Street Little Falls was tampered with a school book was stolen.

A report Jan. 11 of a theft of a vehicle from Bricks Travel Plaza in Motley.

A report Jan. 10 of a vehicle stolen from the 16000 block of 163rd Street in Little Falls.

Crow Wing sheriff

THEFT — A report at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday of a vehicle taken from a residence on the 14000 block of Crow Wing County Road 116 in Merrifield.

A report at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday of a vehicle stolen from the 10000 block of Bridge Road in Deerwood.

FIRE — A report at 6:01 p.m. Wednesday of an unattended fire on County Road 10 out of Deerwood by the Larson Lake Trail parking lot.

SHOOTING — A report at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday of complainant hearing about 20 shots from the north side of their residence on County Road 4 and 13 in Nisswa.

BURGLARY — A report at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday of a home burglarized on the 18000 block of Nokay Lake Road in Deerwood.

Brainerd police

THEFT — A student at Brainerd High School, 702 S. Fifth St., reported a theft at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday of a TI scientific calculator, black in color.

Perkins, 323 W. Washington St., reported at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday a theft of services, someone left without paying for their meal.

Northern Pines Mental Health made a report at 9:26 a.m. Wednesday of a theft of a laptop computer on the 500 block of Front Street.
