Court date reset for Johnson
■ New court date set for Menahga man
LITTLE FALLS — A 32-year-old Menahga man who was involved in a pursuit Jan. 6 on Highway 10 in Little Falls topping speeds above 100 mph that ended in the vehicle crashing into a fence was seen Monday in Morrison County District Court.
The next court date set for Eric Ervin Makela of Menahga, who was a passenger in the car and charged with felony first-degree possession of drugs, possessing 25 grams or more of cocaine, heroin, meth, is May 13.
■ Court date reset for Johnson
A court date was reset Tuesday for a 41-year-old Brainerd man charged with two counts of malicious punishment of a child causing great bodily harm in Crow Wing County District Court.
The new court day for Steven Roy Johnson will be April 30.
According to the criminal complaint, on May 11, 2012, Crow Wing County Social Services reported a possible child mistreatment. The child, about 4-months-old at the time, was airlifted from Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd to St. Paul’s Children’s Hospital. Reports showed that the baby suffered abusive injury consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
