Court Actions

The following recently were sentenced in Crow Wing District Court:

Daniel John Tisdell, 39, Crosby, was sentenced to 33 months in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility for second-degree drug possession and to one year in Crow Wing County Jail for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Bandia Solano, 32, St. Cloud, was sentenced to 180 days in county jail, with that time stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor financial transaction card fraud.

Latisha M. Townley, 24, Brook Park, was sentenced to 275 days in county jail, with that time stayed for two years for giving a peace officer a false name. She also was sentenced to 13 months in the Shakopee Correctional Facility, with that sentence stayed for five years for storing meth paraphernalia in the presence of a child or vulnerable adult from a Jan. 2 offense. She also was sentenced to five years of supervised probation for fifth-degree drug possession from an Oct. 14, 2012 offense.

Jason J. Sather, 28, Fort Ripley, was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for misdemeanor DWI.

Dean L. Hansen, 50, Englewood, Colo., was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for misdemeanor DWI.

Rick C. Nordquist, 36, Brainerd, was sentenced to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Joseph B. McGuire, 36, Brainerd, was sentenced to one year in county jail with sentence stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Kyle D. Johnson, 31, Baxter, was sentenced to 19 months in the St. Cloud prison for fourth-degree drug sale.

Louis M. Davis, 39, Garrison, was sentenced to one year in county jail for fifth-degree assault.

Joseph T. Bennett, Sr., 46, Pine River, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for five years for felony theft.

Devon M. Majersky, 23, Brainerd, was sentenced to 90 days in county jail with sentence stayed for two years for misdemeanor DWI.

Shaun R. Fratzke, 34, Brainerd, was sentenced to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor domestic abuse.

Tyler W. Smith, 25, Pine River, was sentenced to one year in county jail with sentence stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Editor’s note: In court terms, when a person is sentenced and given a time that is “stayed,” it means that if the person violates the terms of their probation, that they may have to serve the original jail/prison sentence that the judge imposed.
