Crow Wing sheriff

ARRESTS — A 20-year-old man was arrested at 6:28 a.m. Sunday during a traffic stop on Highway 371 near Timberwood Church in Nisswa for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated (DWI).

A 22-year-old man was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Saturday after a report of a fight on the 19000 block of Highway 6 in Deerwood. The man was booked in jail on felony charges of second-degree assault and terrorist threats.

A 41-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were arrested at 9:37 p.m. Friday during a traffic stop on County Road 1 and West Trout Avenue in Emily. The woman was arrested for second-degree DWI and the man was arrested for a probation violation.

BURGLARY — A report at 9:01 p.m. Sunday of a possible burglary on the 27000 block of Tame Fish Lake Road in Crosby.

THEFT — A report at 9:24 p.m. Saturday of items taken from a truck on the 7700 block of Brian’s Way in Brainerd.

A report at 7:50 p.m. Saturday of medications missing from a residence on the 19000 block of Crow Wing County Road 12 in Ironton.

A report at 2:48 p.m. Saturday of a theft on the 9300 block of Highway 169 in Garrison.

Brainerd police

ARRESTS — A 24-year-old man was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Saturday on Laurel Street and 13th Street Southeast for fourth-degree DWI.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at 12:14 a.m. on the 800 block of South Eighth Street for fourth-degree DWI.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested at 2:06 p.m. Friday after a report of a shoplifter at Herberger’s, 14136 Baxter Dr. The woman was arrested for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor shoplifting, non-pharmaceutical use of syringes and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THEFT — A report at 7:35 a.m. Monday of a theft on the 100 block of Karie Lane.

A report at 6:57 p.m. Sunday of someone stealing things from the complainant during an argument on the 800 block of Washington Street.

ASSIST — Assisted Saturday in closing Mill Avenue Bridge until the highway department could sand the roadway due to multiple crashes on the icy conditions.

Baxter police

ARRESTS — A 27-year-old man was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Monday for DWI and fleeing on Highway 210 and Knollwood Drive.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 8:12 a.m. Saturday of a slumper in the parking lot at Menards, 15236 Dellwood Dr. Officer located and identified driver who said she was tired from delivering newspapers all night.

THEFT — A report at 4:43 p.m. Friday of a purse stolen from business location at 14546 Dellwood Dr.

Nisswa police

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 9:29 a.m. Sunday that the complainant’s downstairs neighbor “tried to kill him again last night.” The complainant said his neighbor was using chemicals that made him dizzy and fall over. He said it started at midnight. Officer went to the building and could not smell anything and knocked on the door of the unit and no one answered. Officer spoke with another resident who never smelled anything out of the ordinary.

The same complainant made another report at 8:37 a.m. Dec. 31 and said the smell was “so bad he had to sleep in his truck.” Officer, who again could not smell anything, informed the complainant to talk to the owner of the building and that the police could not do anything as it was a civil matter between him and the neighbor.

Pequot Lakes police

THEFT — A report at 7:05 p.m. Friday of a vehicle theft on Old Highway 371.

A report at 8:49 a.m. Thursday that someone stole an 18-foot, 1,200-pound equipment trailer from a business on Old Highway 371 in Jenkins.

FIRE — A report at 11:35 a.m. Dec. 31 of a snowmobile on fire on a trail of Crow Wing County Road 16 and South Upper Hay Drive in Jenkins. Pequot Lakes Fire Department responded and put out fire.

Breezy Point police

THEFT — A report at 1:05 p.m. Thursday of a theft of some electronics and a dryer by some renters on the 7300 block of Ski Chalet Drive. Officer contacted one of the renters who said she had friends do the packing and the items likely got packed inadvertently by them. She said they were likely still in their trailer and will do what they need to in order to make it right.

Little Falls police

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 6:18 a.m. Sunday that the complainant’s mat in front of her apartment door on the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast was taken and put into the elevator.

A report at 3:02 a.m. Saturday of a suspicious complaint at Wal-Mart, 15091 18th St. NE. It was reported that the suspects were there shopping for several hours and had carts full of merchandise. The complainant suspected these subjects were going to steal merchandise so they requested that we do walk through. Officers remained at the store until the suspects left. It should be noted they did not purchase anything.

ARREST — A 57-year-old was arrested at 12:43 a.m. Friday on First Street and First Avenue Northeast for fourth-degree DWI.

Staples police

ARREST — A 26-year-old man was arrested at 2:32 a.m. Sunday for second-degree DWI on Seventh Street and Forest Avenue Southeast.

BURGLARY — A report at 2:02 p.m. Saturday of a burglary on the 400 block of Sixth Street Southeast. It was reported that someone had entered the residence and had damaged the thermostat and damaged the couch.
