Ruud runs for 10 Senate seat
Carrie Ruud of Breezy Point Monday announced her candidacy for the newly created Senate District 10 seat, stating that reducing burdensome business regulations would be her top priority.
Ruud, 60, is a former state senator and Breezy Point mayor. She will seek the Republican endorsement for the seat. Sen. Paul Gazelka, R-Brainerd, announced today he plans to move into the East Gull Lake Pillsbury Forest area and run for the open Senate District 9 seat.
