Public's help sought to locate missing man

Brainerd City Council filings open July 31

Filings for four Brainerd City Council posts open at 7:30 a.m. July 31, according to the Brainerd city administrator’s office. The posts will be decided in the Nov. 6, general election.

The terms of four city council posts will expire on Dec. 31. Incumbents whose terms expire this year include, Alderman-at-Large Mary Koep, Alderman-at-Large Bob Olson, First Ward Alderman Lucy Nesheim and Third Ward Alderman Kevin Goedker. The terms are for four years.

Filings will open at 7:30 a.m. July 31 and close at 5 p.m. Aug. 14.Candidates may file at the city administrator’s office in city hall, 501 Laurel Street. A $5 filing fee will be charged.
