Kory Adair made his first varsity start for the Warrior baseball team a memorable one, as he one-hit St. Cloud Apollo through 6 1/3 innings. He departed with a comfortable four-run lead, but Brainerd had to scramble to pull out a 5-4 victory after several errors.

Opponents to illegal noise levels at Brainerd International Raceway sounded off at the county board meeting, continuing a debate that began last week. The opponents, members of the North Long Lake Assn., object to the track gaining an exemption.

A 552 series gave Cal Zierke the championship crown in the Brainerd City Bowling Championship tournament with an overall average of 188 in 15 games for a 2826 total. Zierke defeated Al Olson in the final with games of 191, 172 and 189.

After a match at the YMCA shooting gallery last night, in which members of the Snelling club proved themselves equal to the Legion rifle team, a special match took place. Brown bested Gorham by hitting the head of a thumb tack at a range of 50 feet.

The fish hatchery car Glenwood arrived from St. Paul and cans of trout fry were unloaded for White and Cardle. The interior of the car is interesting. Over 160 cans, filled with the wriggling trout fry, which are kept fresh by pumping air into the water from the engine.
