Jenny Johnson and Misty Larson have been the Warriors' No. 1 doubles team for three years. They finished fourth in the section as sophomores and third last year. This year they had to battle Brainerd teammates Shelly Breen and Jeanne Jones for the section title.

Burglars hit 18 cabins on Horseshoe Lake the sheriff's office reported. Heavy losses were incurred, including outboard motors, chain saws, fishing tackle, floor heaters and a large number of tools.

All the thrills and chills were there as expected in the Warrior's homecoming battle with the C-I Rangers. Coming from behind twice, the second time in the 4th quarter, captain Jerry Hill's kick for the extra point gave coach Ed Tonish's men a 14-13 victory.

Even greater efficiency and better service will now be noted at St. Joseph's hospital with the installation of a portable X-ray machine. This is in addition to the stationary X-ray on the first floor, and can be moved to the various departments as needed.

Fred Lagerheim, a special railway detective from Duluth, ran amuck at the Antlers Hotel, whipping out his big, Colt .44 revolver and terrorizing the patrons. Police Capt. Hurley calmly walked in and disarmed the six-foot, 250 pound man and walked him to jail.
