Today's 20-inch snowfall in the Twin Cities has postponed tonight's Section 7AA championship football game between Brainerd and Cambridge to the Metrodome next Monday. Snow on the Cambridge field varied from 16 to 32 inches deep.

A rain that poured down the entire game did nothing to dampen the fired-up Brainerd Junior College Raiders as they sloshed to a 28-0 homecoming win over Mesabi State. The Raider defense blocked 2 punts, had 2 interceptions and recovered 2 fumbles.

Tom Hall, a veteran at managing fisticuffers, expressed satisfaction at the progress being shown by 18 eager Golden Glovers on the local team. Hall has had the contingent working out twice a week. He's hoping veteran welterweight Tom Herron will join the squad.

What's in a face? A Brainerd police officer demonstrated that remembering a face is his service to the city. A man came to the jail to visit a friend. The officer remembered the visitor was wanted for passing bad checks. After visiting his friend, the man had to stay.
