Crow Wing County Extension Director Jim Rabehl was one of 32 Minnesota extension agents to either be eliminated or cut back in a $2.3 million U of M staff cutback. Also cut was Steve Berry, Cass County 4-H extension agent. The cuts are effective June 30.

(Photo) David Van Landschoot, son of the Albert Van Landschoots of Crosslake, has graduated from St. John’s University. While there he was student body president and president of his class. He plans to attend the Univ. of Minn. law school next fall.

The Brainerd Junior College Red Raiders chalked up their third win of the season, a 53-44 conquest of the alumni. It was the second success of the day for Coach Don Adamson, whose wife earlier in the day presented him with a daughter at St. Joseph’s hospital.

The Northern Pacific will make a good start in the matter of iron ore shipments from the Cuyuna Range in 1912. M. A. Hanna & Co. is expected to ship 100,000 to 150,000 tons from its mine near the townsite of Barrows. Shipments will also begin from Deerwood.
