Thieves last night hit the Trinity Lutheran Church on S. 6th Street and the Tastee Freeze at 8th and Washington Streets. Entry to the church was through a window and to the restaurant through a roof vent. Little money was taken but both were ransacked.

To have 30 hens lay in the month of January and produce 530 eggs is the record made by William Eastling’s chickens. This is thought to be a record for the county and perhaps the state. Eastling has erected spacious chicken buildings at his home at 923 Holly Street.
