Skip Holm may not have realized how much golf was his life until he walked away the last time as an owner of a golf course. The 59-year-old, who will try to qualify for yet another Senior Open, bought the Brainerd Golf Club from John and Gloria Beyer in February.

For seven innings Brainerd held Little Falls to no score while the locals rolled up one in the first inning, another in the sixth and four in the seventh. But Little Falls started trouble in the last of the ninth, scoring five runs to make it a close game.
