Viking Coca-Cola won the Men’s Twilight Golf League first-half title with 71.5 points. Thelens was second with 70 points and the Brainerd Dispatch was third with 67.5. Second-half play begins Thursday.

Jerry Imgrund of Thief River Falls, but a member of the Brainerd Moose Lodge, won over Marv Bollig of Brainerd in a tightly contested championship for the State Moose Golf title. Imgrund needed a 30-foot putt to edge Bollig in three extra holes.

Hank Miles of Maryland, an old favorite of other years, worked himself back into the good graces of Brainerd fans by nailing a homerun in the 6th to give Brainerd’s Braves a 2-1 victory over Cold Spring. Brainerd has won six in a row and 14 of 17 this season.

Owners of property on Gull Lake will meet Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Pine Beach Hotel to discuss plans for an organization for betterment of the lake. Resolutions will deal with planting of fish and with creating a channel through the string of lakes to Nisswa.

R. E. Peryer of Minneapolis accompanied W. E. Lively on his auto trip from Minneapolis to Brainerd. They left the Flour City at eight in the morning and arrived at Brainerd at four in the afternoon. They made an hour and a half stop in St. Cloud for dinner.
