Tough budget decisions are occupying administrators at Brainerd Regional Human Services as they attempt to deal with a projected $2 million dollar shortfall in their salary account. They have until next June 30 to balance it and tough decisions must be made.

Washington High School students from ten years ago are being honored during the 1952 homecoming festivities Friday, according to the student council. Paul Cibuzar, president of the class of 1942, will crown the homecoming queen from among seven candidates.

A new game bird will be introduced to freedom in Minnesota this fall by the state game and fish department. The black pheasant is a native of Central China and is slightly smaller than the ringneck. About 1,200 will be released after the season closes.

Assurances were received that William Jennings Bryan, the peerless leader of the democracy, who has followed Theodore Roosevelt about in campaigning, will appear in Brainerd on Friday. He will give a 20-minute address from the car of his special train.
