Terry Holm of Brainerd set the masters 10-kilometer rollerblade world record with a time of 18:15 on the opening day of the World Record Challenge at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Holm is one of America’s top in-line skaters in his age group.

Jim Keen has no regrets about joining the Army Rangers, despite a wound that almost took his life during the invasion of Grenada. Keen, a Ft. Ripley native whose family still lives there, turned 21 yesterday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.
