DUNCAN, Okla. - A 44-year-old Oklahoma mother who was once married to her son is now being charged with incest after marrying her 26-year-old daughter, according to a Tulsa World report.

Patrica Ann Spann, 44, knowingly married her biological daughter, 26-year-old Misty Velvet Dawn Spann, in 2016, according to court records.

Misty Spann pleaded guilty to committing incest in Stephens County court Tuesday, Nov. 7, and was given a 10-year deferred sentence. A district judge ordered that two of those years must be served under the supervision of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

Court records indicated that Patricia Ann Spann was identified as Patricia Ann Clayton on their marriage license application, which was filed in March 2016.

Patricia lost custody of Misty and her two other children when they were younger and didn't reconnect with them until 2014. According to an affidavit, Patrica told police she and Misty "hit if off" after reuniting.

Court documents indicated that Patricia Spann "had looked into" marrying her daughter and determined that she could because her name no longer appeared on Misty Spann's birth certificate.

Patricia married her biological son in 2008, but the marriage was eventually annulled in 2010 after the son described the relationship as incestuous. According to the Department of Human Services, Patricia never reported that she had married her biological son in Comanche County, Okla. in 2008.

Patrica Spann is set to appear in court in January, 2018. Incest in Oklahoma is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
