Reader Opinion: A yuletide success

A fantastic gathering of community musicians came together on Dec. 3 at Tornstrom Auditorium to present "Holiday Voices."

The Heartland Symphony combined with the Brainerd High School Chamber Orchestra, the Legacy Chorale and the Garfield Elementary Children's Chorus to all come together to start the holiday season with a spectacular concert of seasonal music.

There was something for everyone's tastes. Jingle bells were heard on the sparkling rendition of "The Sleigh Ride" song. It was just plain fun to hear the scores from the movies "The Polar Express" and "Home Alone."

Of course, who can top the supreme majesty of the triumphant "Hallelujah Chorus" from the Messiah, which was sung by the Legacy Chorale and accompanied by the Heartland Symphony. We all stood in awe.

I doubt that anyone could not come out of this concert a changed person.

Thank you to the many quality musicians who simply blew us away with this fabulous Christmas program.
