Audrey Mary Avery, age 92, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society - Woodland. Audrey was born on April 1, 1924 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to Peter and Theresa (Steffens) Roskop.

She was united in marriage to Levert Avery on October 2, 1946 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. In addition to raising 9 children, she helped coordinate the religious education at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Levert; children, Susan (Doug) Moilanen, Colleen Harris, Sheila (Michael) Buckley, Brian (Lana) Avery, Denise (Rodney) Amos, Roger (Tarilyn) Avery, Jacquelin (Bruce) Schindler, Jennifer Thompson, and Joseph (Tina) Avery; 31 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Roskop and sister, Catherine Odette.

Preceded in death by her parents, 1-brother, 2-sisters and her son-in-law, Dana Harris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Daniel Weiske officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue the hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
