Barb (Auersbach) Zempel

Barb (Auersbach) Zempel

April 23, 1935 - Jan. 19, 2018

Barb was born in Minneapolis, MN. She attended High School, Nursing School, married, and started her family. After living and working in the metro area for many years, she purchased property on Hand Lake in northern Minnesota in 1966. In 1979, Barb moved to Pine River, MN to fulfill her lifelong dream.

Barb worked at the Backus High School, the Pine River Legion, and for Cass County Public Health as a Home Health Aid. She loved all of her kids at the High School and all of her patients she cared for. She loved her little house in the woods on the lake.

Barb cherished her family and made us all "her world". Her friends were everything to her, often saying she would never have made it so far without them all. Barb's immaculate gardens showed her love her flowers and she worked in her gardens as long as she could. She also loved scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends. She passed peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at the Pine River Legion from Noon to 3PM. Please join us in celebrating a woman who touched us and embraced us with her love and friendship.

Barb is survived by her children; daughter Bonnie Siegfried, and sons Allan Zempel, Steve Zempel, and Rob Zempel. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, and 10 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in Death by her mother, Margaret (Gravert) Auersbach, her Father, Joseph Auersbach and her Grandson, Michael Siegfried.
