Survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jean; daughters, Tracy Voels and Karyn (Vladimir) Malesevic; grandchildren, Alek and Mira; brothers, Con, Bob and Louie; sisters, Joan and Joyce; many nieces and nephews. Roy was an ardent Twins fan and outdoorsman who enjoyed duck, pheasant and mushroom hunting. Intellectually curious, he relished a good debate and would gladly take either side of a topic. An opera lover since his teens, Roy took a vacation week from 3M whenever the Metropolitan Opera was in town. Opera and classical music filled his home and life. Roy was a kindhearted, intelligent, responsible family man with a great sense of humor. His family will miss him dearly. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorial gathering was held at Gearty Delmore, Robbinsdale Chapel. Memorials to the charity of your choice.
