Glen K. Hausauer

TISHOMINGO, Okla. — Funeral services for Glen E. Hausauer, 77, of Tishomingo, Okla., will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Dick Sowder officiating, assisted by Pastor Jon Smith. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery with Masonic Rites by his fellow Masons and Military Rites by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Mr. Hausauer passed away on Dec. 21, 2010, at his home.

Glen was born on June 4, 1933, in Brainerd, Minn., to Jacob Peter Hausauer and Jessie Rutherford Hausauer. He graduated from Brainerd High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He married Carol Clark on July 2, 1994. Glen retired from the United States Postal Service as a supervisor with 34 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years, having served as the Worshipful Master in the Tishomingo Lodge No. 91, Order of the Demolay for 63 years, the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, talking and drinking coffee with his friends. He and Carol owned and operated a “collectible” store in Tishomingo with a section for a museum of furniture and dolls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Glenyce; three sisters; and four brothers.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; two sons, Mark and Mike Hausauer, both of Minneapolis; three stepchildren, Robert Carr and his wife, Liz, of Minneapolis, Jodie Rein and her husband, Jerry of Radisson, Wis., and Gerald Gowman and his wife, Susanna, of Tishomingo, Okla.; other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be Johnny Chaney, Charlie Locke, Jerry “Red” Wellman, Randy Rowe, Don Nichols and Don Maxwell. Honorary bearers will be brothers of Masonic Lodge, members of the American Legion and VFW and the Knights of Columbus.
