CASS LAKE — Lasetta Opal Hoglund, 87, of Cass Lake, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Walker, Minn.

Lasetta is survived by her children Karen Hoglund, Eva (Rob) Fitzsimmons and Erick (Mary) Hoglund; grandchildren Patrick Fitzsimmons, Ruby and Andy Hoglund; brothers-in-law Dick Lillie and Bart (Sue) Hoglund; nieces Mona (Paul) Casimiro, Gloria Snyder and Pearl Michaelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, sister Irene Lillie, and brother Gus Felt, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cass Lake with Pastor Peter Rosenkvist officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cass Lake. In honor of her husband, Gene, a prisoner of war and participant in the Bataan Death March, Lasetta was an avid supporter of ex-prisoner of war organizations. All memorials will be directed to the Lakes Region Chapter of the American Ex-POW in Lasetta’s name. 

The Dennis Funeral Home of Cass Lake assisted the family in making arrangements.
