Diana L. Carrigan Rardin

Diana Lynn Carrigan Rardin born Nov. 1, 1949, the daughter of Lloyd and Violet Carrigan. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1968, to John Rardin. The couple lived in Motley most of their marriage. Diana was active in the community as a saleswoman for Avon for 30 years. She loved to bargain hunt and play Scrabble. The past nine years Diana and John went to Apache Junction, Ariz., to escape the cold Minnesota winters. They made some wonderful friendships there. She will be greatly missed by her husband, John; children, Monica (Paul) Lahr, of Wahkon, Minn., Chad (fiancee Gena) Rardin, of St. Cloud, Minn. Grandchildren Lindsey, Lauren, Dakota Lahr and Paige Rardin were adored by her. She is the oldest of eight children of Violet and the late Lloyd Carrigan, Donna Nordum (George), Dennis Carrigan (Charlene), Debbie (John) Currier, Peggy Gordon (Vernon), Kathy (Roger) Skirten, Edward Carrigan (Naomi) and Dale Carrigan. She is survived by a large extended family of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends that will truly miss her. She had a laugh no one will forget. Memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Staples, Minn., on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 11 a.m.
