Missing Breezy Point man found safe

Anna E. Jacobson

AITKIN — Anna E. Jacobson, age 90, of Aitkin, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.

Anna was born Jan. 28, 1921, at Malmo, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Ida (Larson) Burman. She grew up and attended the Malmo School. She then went to Yellowstone National Park and worked for the park for several years. She returned to Minneapolis and worked as a seamstress for a time. She married Clifford E. Jacobson on June 6, 1953, at Aitkin, Minn. They made their home in Aitkin and she has lived here since. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Aitkin and the Cedar Lake Homemakers. She had volunteered at the Nursing Homes in Aitkin and enjoyed sewing, gardening and painting.

She is survived by three children, Eunice (Mike) Josephson, of Lake Nebagamon, Wis.; Linda (Rick) Carlson, of East Gull Lake, Minn., Randy Jacobson, of Buffalo Lake, Minn.; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Burman, of Bethel, Minn., Ernest Burman, of Malmo, Minn., Clarence Burman, of Glen, Minn.; two sisters, Irene Long, of Isle, Minn., and Loretta Weiss, of Norwalk, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2007; and one daughter, Sandra Pasell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25 at 11 a.m. from First Lutheran Church in Aitkin with the Rev. Dorothy Sand officiating. Burial will be in the Malmo Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
