Muriel E. Strasburg
Muriel Elaine (Ebinger) Strasburg, 91, died May 3, 2011, at her home of 51 years in Anaheim, Calif. She was pre-deceased 25 years earlier by her husband, William Strasburg.
She and her husband, Bill, were both born and raised in Brainerd, Minn., and after also living in Cedar Falls, Iowa, La Porte City, Iowa, and Homer, Neb., they moved to Anaheim in 1960.
Muriel enjoyed her job of 20 years working for the City of Anaheim. She and Bill built their mountain cabin in Sugar Loaf and enjoyed many years of good times there.
When she became a widow 25 years ago, she was always ready to go visit the slot machines in Las Vegas, Laughlin, and San Diego County with her friends and family. And she was also always ready for the many gatherings over the years of the family she loved so much.
Muriel is survived by her children, Sharon (Michael) Arnstein, Colleen (Billy) Strong and Greg (Cathy) Strasburg; grandchildren, Kelly Lauritsen, Shauna Hill, Michelle Myers and Aaron Strasburg and their spouses; and great-grandchildren, Amber and Matthew Lauritsen, Jazmin and Sharon Hill, Amanda and Ryder Myers, Chase and Hazen Strasburg; and her nephews, Robert (Nancy) Viking, Glen Kapus, Mark Wels and Brian Wels.
A service was held May 5 at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Calif. Condolences may be sent to 604 Via Cumbres, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
