Annastasia 'Anna' Schumann

WAUPUN, Wis. — Annastasia “Anna” Schumann, age 97, of Waupun, Wis., formerly of Garrison, died at the Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun, Wis. She was born on June 7, 1914, in Dane, Wis., to George and Anna (Froatz) Heid. She married Harland H. Schumann on Aug. 5, 1933, in Arnold, Wis.

Anna was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Garrison, and the Garrison VFW Post No. 1816 Auxiliary and RSVP at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

Anna is survived by her guardian and grandson, John (Nelda) Machkovech, Beaver Dam, Wis.; her sons, Harland (Judith) Schumann, Mayville, Wis., William (Karen) Schumann, Horicon, Wis.; and James (Laurie) Schumann, of Juneau, Wis.; four additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband in February of 1992.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison. Burial will be at the Garrison Community Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
