IRONTON — Huck Durant, age 60, of Ironton, died on Nov. 20, 2011, in Ray, N.D. He was born on Dec. 18, 1950, in White Earth, Minn., to Charles and Rosella (Norely) Durant. He married Sharon Lee Sletten on Jan. 11, 1969, in Sisseton, S.D.

Huck was currently working in Williston as a truck driver. He was a former employee at the Grand Casino, Anderson Brothers, Irondale Township and Durant Logging.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed time with his kids, grandchildren and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Robert, of Crosby; two daughters, Lisa (Brian) Mealhouse, of Clear Lake, Tami (Neil) Durant-West, of Crosby; two brothers, Wayne Durant, of Brainerd, and Verne Durant, of St. Cloud; two sisters, Lorraine (Marv) Millam, of Brainerd, and Marlys (Buddy) Merschman, of Shevlin; three grandchildren, Ashley, Bradly and Cameron.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Friends may call at the Koop Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Minerva Township Cemetery in Bagley.
