Lucille Josephine Dillon, 93
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah for Lucille Josephine Dillon, 93, of Eden Valley, who passed away Saturday at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Msr. Francis Garvey will officiate and burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Eden Valley. Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Church of Our Lady, Manannah and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home Eden Valley.
Lucille was born July 23, 1918, to Michael and Anna (Neidermeier) Reagan in Manannah, Minn. She married Patrick Dillon on June 17, 1941, at the Church of Our Lady, Manannah. They had one son Richard “Dick.” Patrick passed away on Oct. 18, 1946. Lucille worked at the Waters Store in Eden Valley for 28 years. She was a lifelong resident of Manannah and an active member of the Church of Our Lady in Manannah and a member of CCW St. Margaret’s Circle and the Mission Sewing Group. Lucille was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 381 of Eden Valley. She loved the outdoors, wildlife, working in her garden and especially her birds. Lucille’s generous heart and loving hands cared for and served many. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
She is survived by one son, Dick and wife Jane; two granddaughters, Diana “Dede” (Dillon) Tollefson and husband Paul, Patricia “Trish” (Dillon) Exsted and husband Jim, four great-grandchildren, Dylon and Cooper Tollefson and Madisen and Sophia Exsted, all of Brainerd. One brother, John Reagan of Eden Valley and one sister, Margaret Snyder of Mantua, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; parents, Michael and Anna Reagan; brothers, Phil and Mike Reagan; sister-in-law Margaret Reagan, also Emmett and Millie Dillon, Daniel and Alice Dillon and John and Rose Garvey.
