Dr. Robert ‘Bob’ Kasper
BEAUMONT, Texas — Dr. Robert “Bob” Kasper died Feb. 18, 2012, in Beaumont, Texas. Bob was born in Minneapolis on March 27, 1932, to Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Kasper from Winsted, Minn., where Bob was raised. After 12 years at Holy Trinity Catholic School, Bob attended St. Thomas University and MN School of Dentistry. In 1954 Bob married Joan Guggemos and God blessed their marriage with seven loving children. Bob served three years in the Air Force at Chanute AFB in Illinois. In 1959 he set up practice in Brainerd.
Bob’s many interests were fishing, hunting and family. He enjoyed sled dog racing, trap shooting and family camping and in later years golf, woodworking and computer programming. He also was an avid reader.
Bob leaves Joan after 57 years of marriage and his loving children, Linda (Ron) Russ, Illinois, Kathy (Dan) Jaroshewich, Michigan, Tom, Wyoming, Mary DeAgostino, Michigan, Kim (Eric) Turnquist, Minnesota, Bill (Bobbi), Minnesota; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by their daughter, Debbie; and his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Tony Wroblewski officiating. Visitation will begin the hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, you may leave memorials to St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School or your choice of charities.
