Joseph Alan Andresen, age 53, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Crosby Care Center. He was born Jan. 1, 1959, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Norman and Yvonne (Opitz) Andresen.

Joe did not “go gentle into that good night.” He did “rage, rage, against the dying of the light.”

He is survived by his wife, Lula; father, Norm (Coral) Andresen; mother, Yvonne (Robert) Jacobs; grandmother, Hilaria Opitz-King; brother, Tom (Renee) Andresen; niece, Jaylee Jo; sister, Cindy (Craig) Nathan; nephews, Nicholas and Christopher; many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfathers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at All Saints Catholic Church, 16898 Carlson Lake Road, Brainerd, with visitation at the church the hour before services. Father Tony Wroblewski will officiate. Luncheon at the church will follow the service.
