Mary E. Warren

In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 19, 2012, the Lord looked down and saw that Mary could no longer fight her 16-year battle with cancer. He sent his angels down and they gently brought her home to meet her Lord and Savior and have everlasting peace.

Mary Elizabeth Warren, age 74, was born on June 19, 1937, in Brainerd to George and Elizabeth (Huschle) Zupon.

Mary is survived by three sons, Lloyd (Karen) Warren Jr., of Baxter, David (Pamela) Warren, of Baxter, and Craig (Cathi) Warren, of Brainerd; one daughter, Linda Warren, of Brainerd; six grandchildren, Anthony Warren, Garrett (Renee) Warren, Lloyd Warren III, Katherine Warren, Adam Warren and Caleb Warren; one great-grandchild, Isabelle Warren; three sisters, Irene Crimmins, Eleanor Cash, and Dorothy Heino; and one brother, Gilbert Zupon.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Martin, Walter and Albert.

Mary graduated from Pine River High School and lived in Brainerd most of her adult life. She retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital where she worked as a nursing assistant. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Woodland Good Samaritan Home for the kind and gentle way they cared for Mary in her final days.

Visitation will be at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with visitation at the church the hour before services. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
