Lowell Rueben Rosnau
Lowell Rueben Rosnau, age 85, of Brainerd, passed away April 7, 2012. Lowell was born July 1, 1926, in Winthrop, Minn., to Herman and Adina (King) Rosnau.
After serving his country during WWII in a U.S. Army K-9 unit, Lowell married Dorothy (Dottie) Mae Norberg and moved to Brainerd where he was employed as a communications technician supervisor with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Lowell was active for many years with the Cub and Boy Scouts in the Brainerd area, serving as Cub Scout leader for Pack 83 and Boy Scout leader for Troop 83. He was also known for woodcarving and taught woodcarving through adult community education.
Lowell was an active member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, where he was involved with many committees and activities. He enjoyed having his family around him, traveling out west with his wife Dottie, and participating in K-9 reunions with old Army friends.
Lowell is survived by his sons, Jerry of Deerwood and Doug (Patty) of Hibbing; sister, Vivian (Peter) Skogerbo of Rochester; grandchildren, Tyler (Peyton), Jennifer (Rob), Jeremy and Lowell and Joel; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Aidan and Rylan.
He was preceded in death by this wife, Dottie; great-grandson, Korbyn; brother, George; and his parents.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Friends are invited to gather one-hour prior to services.
