NISSWA — James “Jim” L. Kelley, age 67, of Nisswa, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Brainerd. He was born on Feb. 7, 1945, in Ironwood, Mich., to James and Eileen (Hautmaki) Kelley.

Jim graduated from high school in Carmel, Calif., in 1963. He attended the University of Arizona in Flagstaff and graduated with a business degree. He lived between Roy and Nisswa Lake and loved to fish. Jim also enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling outdoor activities and sports.

Survivors include his daughters, Kristen (Tom) Koziol, Sacramento, and Jennifer (Jennette Pipp) Briggs, St. Michael, Minn.; stepson, Jason (Jamie) Miller, Brainerd; mother, Eileen Kelley, Bend, Ore.; sister, Susan (Jim) Mausen, Sunriver, Ore.; brother, Gary Kelley, Carmel, Calif.; grandchildren, Nikki Roth, Justin Manke, Deanna Roth, Joshua Kasat, Richard Briggs, Jacob Briggs, Michael Roth, Ryan, Riley, Randen Miller.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Kelley; and his father, James Kelley.
