WASEON, Ohio — James Thomas Hinkle, 71, a native of Wauseon, Ohio, died July 9, 2012, in Sebring, Fla. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a banker, helped operate his brother’s Youth Center and Boys’ Home until moving to Brainerd as director as The Fish House Coffee House and IKTHUS Christian Home for Boys. In Fort Frances, Ontario, he owned Jim’s Central Shell and managed Biddy’s Yellow Cabs, between fishing trips. In Sebring he was Service Director for Blackman Ford, Safety Director for Smoak Groves and a Paralegal both for Andrew Jackson and independently. He belonged to First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife, Judith E.; son, James Hinkle Jr., Arizona; daughter, Andra (Jerry) Vaughn, Minnesota; brother, Bill, Texas; grandson, Bryan (wife, Christine) Hinkle; and three great-grandsons, California; and many friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Benevolence and Missions Fund.
