But it was not just Sam who lost her incredible husband! Their children lost a father, some lost a son, a brother, a cousin, a grandfather, a great-grandfather and an uncle.

While others lost a teacher, a friend, a confidant and an all around fabulous man!

Jerry was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Crosby. His parents were Pearl Moser and Pat (Glenore) Atwater.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Donna (Cory) Blanchard, Doreen Atwater, Diane (Kevin) O’Hern, Darlene (Chris) Roth, (Linda Worthington); son, Dwayne Atwater; 10 grandchildren, Candie, Stephen, Danielle, Demitra, Jill, Jennifer, Matt, Briana, Cody and Kawana; and eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Issac, Logan, Eli, Zeke, Kamron and Kaliegh.

Jerry was the life of the party, who would light up a room with his sense of humor, laughter and smile. We will miss him greatly, but he will live in our hearts and in our thoughts always.

To anyone who knew him, family and friends, we are inviting you to celebrate his amazing life with all of us on Saturday, Aug. 18. It will start at 1:30 p.m. but it is an open house, so come when you wish and stay as long as you please.

The memorial will be at his and Sam’s home at 4491 County Road 16 in Pequot Lakes. There will be great food, great conversation and great memories! Due to the number of people we are expecting, please BYOB. We hope you can be here, but for those of you who can not...we know you will be here in spirit!

Take Care, Much Love and Many Hugs!
